My wife and I recently completed our 12th international household goods movement. We moved from Muscat, Oman to our home in Colorado. My company selected CEVA Logistics to pack out and export our household goods from Oman. In turn CEVA Logistics selected Rocky Mountain Overseas (RMO) of Aurora, Colorado to be our customs import agent and to be in-charge of getting our household goods from their Port of Entry in New York City to our home. Before we ever left Muscat in June 2011, Brenda of RMO, contacted me via email to introduce herself and RMO. That first email established a foundation of superior service that continued for more than two months while our HHG's were in-transit and finally delivered. In our shipment we had a motorcycle which may or may not meet US EPA standards. For two months Brenda worked with various US Government agencies to make sure all the proper paperwork was completed to ensure the motorcycle had no problem being imported into the United States. During the transit of our HHG's, Brenda kept me informed from the day they left Oman, while on the ship, approaching the Port of New York and their subsequent custom clearance process and rail trip across county to Denver. At no time was I left in the dark on where our household goods were in transit across more than half the circumference of the world. The day RMO received the sea van container with our HHG's in Denver and opened it, they discovered some damage had been incurred on the motorcycle. Brenda contacted me first by phone to alert me and then followed up via email with detailed photos of the damage. They could have waited until it was delivered at our home but choose rather to not surprise me but rather continue their professional customer service of: No Surprises! Prior to delivery of our HHG's, Brenda and the RMO Team went on-line and determined via satellite photos that it was best to bring our HHG's in as small a truck as possible due to the narrow streets in our little mountain town. The was the first time ever a moving company has been so foresighted regarding the delivery or pick up from our home. On the day our HHG's were delivered, Brenda kept us informed of their progress from their warehouse in Aurora to our home in the mountains. Prior to their arrival, the delivery team called me to let me know where they were. Once again no surprises, just professional service. The delivery team was composed of Josh and Mark, who both were both superb! It was obvious that RMO has quality personnel working throughout their organization. Josh and Mark truly were professionals: from their positive and helpful attitude, their attention to detail and their genuine concern for the wellbeing of our HHG's and to our home. From all the moves we have made, Josh and Mark ranked #1. In closing; by trade I have been a professional operational logistics manager on the international scene for over 30 years, so I know how things should be done. Brenda is an exceptional communicator and customer relations representative for RMO. She went above and beyond every standard of performance you would expect.
